Experience a Cruise Getaway with a 360 Tour of a Disney Stateroom

Cruising is a fun vacation but even more memorable with a fantastic Disney stateroom. We stayed in a concierge one-bedroom suite with a verandah on deck 12 on our Disney 7-Night Very Merry Eastern Caribbean cruise. This article includes information about the room and an interactive 360 walk-through of our room. You can read an overall review of the cruise here.

The Disney Cruise Line’s website describes a one-bedroom suite with verandah as having “original artwork, vintage Disney hallmarks, warm wood finishes with inlaid details, tasteful furnishings and lavish marble-and-granite bathrooms.” Amenities included individual climate control; high-definition LCD flat-screen televisions; bath, shower, and spa products; hair dryer in the bathroom; Euro-top mattress and down duvet in the bedroom; hypoallergenic, feather, and memory foam pillow options; complimentary Wi-Fi Internet service for each guest; and phone with voicemail messaging.

Each stateroom can be different on cruises, and staterooms in the same category can vary. For example, this room had an extended verandah, so research the particular room you are reserving to confirm the view, amenities, and location on the ship.

Layout

The room's layout was functional and did not give the impression of being too tightly arranged. The room was fully furnished without being overcrowded.

Furniture

The living room had a sofa, two side chairs, a coffee table, a television on a stand, and a wet bar stocked with water and sodas. It had floor-to-ceiling windows with a view out to the private verandah. The dining area consisted of a round table and four dining chairs. The bedroom had a queen-sized bed, a television, two nightstands, and a makeup desk with a mirror and chair. The bedroom could be private and separated from the living spaces by sliding shut three doors (one along the dining area and two along the hallway). A small desk and chair were available next to the living room, and a small padded bench was along the hallway outside the bedroom. Patio furniture on the verandah included two lounge chairs, two adjustable-back chairs, two side chairs, and a side table.

Size

According to the Disney Cruise Line site, the room was 622 square feet (including the verandah) and sleeps up to five guests. In addition to the queen bed in the bedroom and the sofa double sleeper in the living room, there was a wall pull-down single bed next to the desk.

Bathrooms

The stateroom had two bathrooms. The main bathroom connected to the bedroom had a separate shower and water closet, two sinks, and a whirlpool tub. The second bathroom had a shower, toilet, and sink accessible near the stateroom door.

Closet Space

There was ample closet space. After storing all our empty suitcases underneath the bed, I stored my clothes, toiletries, electronics, and beach bag in a walk-in closet. This closet also had a safe for our passports and cash. A robe and slippers were available for the duration of our cruise.

My husband used the remaining two smaller closets that were the same layout. Each had space to hand clothing, two shelves, and drawers.

Verandah

The verandah offered plenty of privacy and space, not to mention ocean views!

Deck lighting allowed us to see at night as needed.

Special Holiday Touches

We purchased a miniature Christmas tree decorated with Disney-themed ornaments to add some Christmas fun. We also purchased an onboard gift that included a fleece-backed throw, a posable Goofy character, a Mickey-shaped pillow, Christmas banners, and a canvas tote. These items were displayed in our bedroom upon our arrival. The blanket was used as we sat on the sofa at night to watch television and when it was windy as we sat on the verandah.

The room was comfortable, spacious, and well-arranged. The private verandah was great for enjoying views while cruising and docking at ports. Sitting out at night was also pleasurable.
